Parkinson's disease

Drug under Investigation:  E2007-A001-302

Purpose of Study:  To evaluate the efficacy, safety and tolerability of the investigational medication E2007 in Levodopa treated Parkinson's patients with motor fluctuations.

Inclusion Criteria:

• Diagnosed with Parkinson's disease at 30+ years of age
• Currently taking levodopa (Sinemet) at least three times daily with a good response
• Consistently experience "wearing-off" motor fluctuations for 2 hours a day

Exclusion Criteria:

• Previous stereotactic surgery (e.g. pallidotomy, subthalamic nucleus deep brain stimulation) for Parkinson's disease
• Pregnant or lactating women
• History of drug or alcohol abuse
• Past or present history of suicidal ideation or suicide attempts

• Laboratory tests
• Study drug
• Reimbursement for time/travel expenses
