Parkinson's disease

Drug under Investigation:  E2007-A001-214

Purpose of Study:  To evaluate the safety and tolerability of doses of E2007 up to a maximum of 6mg in patients with Parkinson's disease who experience end-of-dose "wearing-off" motor fluctuations.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • 30+ years of age
  • Diagnosed with Parkinson's disease
  • Currently taking levodopa (Sinemet) at least three times daily with a good response
  • Consistently experience end-of-dose "wearing-off" motor fluctuations

Exclusion Criteria:

  • Previous stereotactic surgery (e.g. pallidotomy, subthalamic nucleus deep brain stimulation) for Parkinson's disease
  • Pregnant or lactating women
  • History of drug or alcohol abuse

If you qualify, all study related care is provided at no charge including:

  • Study visits and study related procedures/tests
  • Laboratory tests
  • Study medication
  • Reimbursement for time/travel expenses
